Week 8 Reading Reflection

There wasn’t much that surprised me during this chapter reading. Everything I read, I found interesting and useful. It taught me some things that I was unaware of before.

I was not confused about anything in this chapter. Everything was pretty straightforward, so it was easy to understand what the chapter was about.

If I could ask the author a question, I would ask where they came up with the numbers under the Informal Risk: Capital Angel Financing paragraph. Since people choose what they want to do with their money based on their personal lives, the statistic doesn’t exactly fit very well. People come from all different levels of income and one person may not be willing to make certain investments that others would.

As I stated above, the statistics show that there are a lot of opportunities to be made with these angel investors but it does not necessarily mean that every person with that sort of capital is interested in investing in these unproven companies.
